BackWe are pleased to announce that Kandler Gruppe GmbH and finpair GmbH have entered into a groundbreaking cooperation in the area of municipal financing. Together, we are launching the municipal financing marketplace with the largest investor reach and comprehensive municipal coverage in Germany and Austria.
The partnership between finpair and KANDLER, the full arranger for municipal financing, gives you direct access to the current financial requirements of German municipalities. Hundreds of municipal financing projects with a total annual volume of more than 5 billion euros await you on our joint municipal financing marketplace. In the future, you will benefit from an integrated digital solution that includes both company-related and municipal financing options.
Municipalities such as cities, districts and municipalities are public bodies that are responsible for providing public services and infrastructure to the population. In addition to tax revenue, borrowing is the main source of financing to meet the short and long-term needs of public authorities in the form of cash loans and municipal loans.
Local financing is characterized by the state economic efficiency requirement, which means that the financing requirements of municipalities are awarded on the basis of a tendering process. This approach is intended to promote competition among investors in order to reveal the best possible offer on the market. Municipalities describe their financing requirements in a call for tenders, for which investors can submit offers by a fixed deadline. After the deadline, the municipality evaluates the offers received and selects the offer that best meets its requirements, usually winning the offer with the lowest interest rate.
Because of its location and size, each municipality may appear individual. However, all municipalities in the Federal Republic of Germany share the characteristic of being subordinate regional authorities of a debtor rated as first-class by independent rating agencies. On the capital market, this fact is reflected in that the bonds issued to date by various municipalities in Germany are listed at a relatively homogeneous risk premium. German municipalities are therefore uniformly perceived as reliable debtors. The municipal asset class thus combines a relatively high level of security with a comparatively attractive interest rate compared to original government investments.
To be part of this exciting development and to continue to have access to the daily financial requirements of German municipalities in the future, register on the German municipal financing marketplace:
